Information for European nationals with no representation in Myanmar

Based on a burden-sharing agreement between the Embassies of the EU member states represented by a diplomatic mission in Myanmar (i. e. France, Germany, Italy and the UK), the German Embassy is responsible for all citizens of the Netherlands, Austria, Hungary, Luxembourg and Poland in Myanmar in cases of consular emergencies and contingency planning. Our contingency preparedness depends to a large extent on the voluntary registration of all these nationals resident in Myanmar.
 
All German Embassies worldwide have recently changed the previous paper-based registration process for German nationals to an online registration on the internet. Unfortunately after several revisions this online system is now restricted to registrations by German nationals only.

The registration of all other nationals in Myanmar will be handled by their corresponding Embassies in Bangkok, who in turn will in regular intervals provide the relevant data to us. We will of course accept completed registration forms in Yangon and will transmit them to Bangkok.

Registration forms can also be be collected as hardcopy at the German Embassy, 9 Bogyoke Aung San Museum Road, Bahan Township, Yangon (Mondays through Fridays from 9 am to 12 noon or by arrangement).
 
We will also gladly accept (completed and signed) registrations forms for onward transmission to your Embassy in Bangkok. Please scan and mail the forms or fax to 01-548899 or drop them at the Embassy gate. If you prefer to transmit the forms to Bangkok yourself please use the above links.
 
Please bear in mind that unless you are registered with your Embassy in Bangkok you will not be registered with us.
